Last week, JT Burnette, the husband of Truelieve CEO Kim Rivers, was sentenced to three years in prison for public corruption charges.
He was accused of conducting a bribery scheme with former Mayor and City Commissioner Scott Maddox–including admitting to undercover officers that he influenced Florida House members to insert language into Florida’s medical marijuana bill that would contain a controversial barrier to entry that would specifically benefit his family.
