A new proposal brought to the New Jersey state government is gaining some steam and may make it easier and more safe to consume the marijuana that you purchase in-state.
The proposed rules allow marijuana businesses to apply for one open consumption area in their stores, which must receive approval from the municipality where it is located, which itself must pass an ordinance allowing the lounge and the CRC must also approve the area. While there might be a lot of hoops to jump through, the fact that this is even being brought in front of decision makers is a huge step in the right direction for marijuana legalization in New Jersey.
